“And you will stand on windswept beaches…”
Five Sons. Five Fathers. One Hour. No safety net.
A boisterous performance-game, Windswept Beaches transforms Owen Booth’s short story into a high-stakes theatrical event. Scaffolded above the stage, the Fathers go to work reading the script into microphones, line by line, feeding each word directly into their Son’s earpieces. None of them have ever performed this show before.
The Sons must repeat what they hear. They must complete the tasks they’re given. They must rely on each other and the voices of their Fathers. They must keep going. Until they can’t.
It’s a system where play, failure, obedience, exhaustion, tenderness, and resistance begin to blur.
